Our Accommodation
The Farmhouse (with beds for 10)
The architect-designed and eclectically-furnished farmhouse offers 5 bedrooms (sleeps 10) – ideal for the main wedding party.
Downstairs, there’s a fully-fitted open-plan kitchen and dining area with a garden room and an additional sitting / TV room. As well, there’s a double bedroom next to a loo off the hall. There’s limestone flooring throughout with underfloor heating in all rooms.
Upstairs, the main bedroom has an ensuite, full sized bathroom with a power shower and a lovely roll-top bath. There’s a twin room with a balcony (great for getting ready in). Along with two further double bedrooms, there is also a family bathroom with a power shower and a full-sized bath. Upstairs has real wooden floors and standard radiators.
Hobbit House Honeymoon Hideaway (for 2)
This is one of the jewels in the crown here at Higher Holcombe and is just perfect for romantic seclusion (which is what you both deserve)!
The Hobbit House is a very special place to stay.
It has its own facilities and is tucked into its own garden with views of the woodland fringes and ‘the gallop’ meadow.
Everything is ready – with all linen and towels included.
Glamping in Five Lotus Belle Tents (with beds for 22)
We love these!
We think your guests will love glamping in one of these gigantic canvas ‘onions’ with their pointy roofs and curvy walls. They add a lovely friendly ‘festival vibe’ to our venue. They are a special and spacious (6m in diameter) design that’s a cross between a yurt and a bell tent.
The furniture is fairly basic but we’ve had fun decorating these with textiles from around the world as well as coir carpets and rugs. We hope that you like them!
Lily and Lupin (each with 5 single beds) are in the paddock facing the Old Dairy.
Larkspur, Lavender and Love is the Mist (each with a double bed and 2 singles) are on the fringes of the woodland on the eastern side of the venue.
All the beds are made up with a cotton bottom sheet and a comfy pillow – bring your own sleeping bags and towels.
Each tent has a solar panel and a ‘Hubi’ control for lights – so you know where to aim for after dark! You might want to bring a torch just in case!
Lotus Belle glamping guests use the venue’s showers and loos.
Shepherds’ Huts (with beds for 6 – 8)
There are 2 shepherds’ huts (Kwerkus – the blue one, and Welig – the green one) offering a little more luxury than the Lotus Belle tents.
Each hut sleeps 3 or 4 (either 3 adults OR two adults and 2 children sharing) in a standard and a small double bed. If a couple are using the shepherd’s huts, we can turn the small double bed into a sitting area.
Each hut has electricity and Bluetooth speakers but no running water. Everything is ready with linen and towels provided. Guests using the shepherds’ huts use the venue’s shared bathroom facilities.
Overflow Camping
Do more people want to stay?
You can invite additional friends to stay, in their own tents or campervans, festival-style, in the overflow camping area. Depending on numbers, additional loos and showers may need to be hired in which will be for you to book and pay for. There is a charge of £10 per person per night for overflow camping.
